Aero Trader Helps General Aviation Industry Get Back on its Feet
(PRWEB) November 18, 2009 -- Aero Trader (http://www.aerotrader.com), a division of Dominion Enterprises, has launched a revenue sharing program for fixed base operators (FBOs). The Aero Trader FBO Affiliate Revenue Share Program helps the general aviation industry buy and sell planes, parts, and service, while providing a new revenue opportunity for FBOs.
By joining the Aero Trader FBO Affiliate Network at no charge, FBOs receive 20 percent of the total ad rate of any advertising they refer to Aero Trader, in print and online, every time the ad runs. Advertising must be paid for by credit card to be eligible for the program.
Aero Trader magazine and AeroTrader.com provide classified ads of planes, helicopters, aircraft parts, aircraft repair and restoration, hangars, airpark and luxury real estate, and display advertising for any product or service related to the general aviation industry including financing (http://www.aerotrader.com/research/resources/financial-services/), insurance (http://www.aerotrader.com/research/resources/insurance), accessories (http://www.aerotrader.com/research/resources/headsets/), and real estate (http://www.aerotrader.com/find/browse/real-estate).
“We hope to help the general aviation industry get back on its feet after a rough year. By encouraging the buying and selling of aviation goods and services, and offering cash back to FBOs, we’re doing our part to help stimulate the economy,” said Heidi E. Boe, general manager of Aero Trader. “We know from our customers’ testimonials that Aero Trader sells airplanes. If we can help an FBO in the process, that’s all the better.”
The general aviation industry has suffered in 2009, with total general aviation airplane shipments down 46.8 percent in the first three quarters, as reported by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Total industry billings are down 23.5 percent, to $13.8 billion.
GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce said of the figures, “These shipment and billings figures are a result of this difficult business cycle and reflects the impact of the weak economy. However, another contributing factor that has led to the disappointing year-to-date numbers is the unwarranted negative attacks on business aviation.”
To help kick off the FBO Revenue Share Program, Aero Trader will send 12 free Aero Trader mugs to all FBOs that enroll in the program by Dec.1. There is no charge to enroll as an FBO.
